HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) –
The principles of which were devised originally by Pillsbury in the early 1960s to produce safe food for the space industry, upon request by NASA and adopted by the World Health Organisation (WHO). HACCP is a risk assessment tool designed to prevent unintentional contamination.
However, recently there have been high profile intentional deliberate contamination, substitution and adulteration cases, this is where TACCP and VACCP enhances the risk assessment tool set
